The European Commission has initiated a
midterm evaluation of the Youth in Action program (2007-2013). This process is used to develop recommendations and guidelines on how the implementation and realization of the program can be improved. Through analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the program and lessons learned from the first three years of its implementation, the evaluation process will provide elements which can contribute to prepare the next version of the program for Youth, after 2013.
The evaluation must analyze all the actions and sub-program activities, taking into account aspects related to management and those related to content. This exercise will be conducted both at European and national level.
The evaluation exercise will examine the intermediate results of the program in terms of relevance, effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability of the action taken.
